A. lange & Sohne was founded in 1845 by Ferdinand A. Lange in Glashutte, Germany. Since the earliest history of A. After the passing of Ferdinand, the subsequent generations continued traditions in watchmaking quality and also produced oversized wristwatches for military airmen. A. lange in 1948 ceased to exist due to post war soviet administration. However, in December 1990, Following German Reunification Lange was refounded and continues to work from its original home in Glashutte, Manufacturing some of the finest timepieces in the world.
